This weekend while walking through the Eastside Farmers Market I couldn’t help by notice the vibrant color of the beets! Beets are well known for their high nutrient content and health benefits. They are currently in season here in Texas, so if you’re in the Houston area this weekend, be sure to stop by the Eastside Urban Harvest Market at 3000 Richmond Ave (open 8am to 12pm) to stock up! (And yes, that beautiful image above was taken by me at the market. The colors are SO PRETTY right!?! 😉 )
